Open Each Door From the Inside

A poem on finding inner freedom and a more open heart.

Photo: Deborah McNamara (Marrakesh, Morocco)

What door has been closed
from the inside?
Find it.
Knock here
open,
walk into sunlight
reach toward bright spaces
even if still
sitting
in a shadow.

Here:
Make free what is loosening
now:
crackling of heart,
slowly kneaded open.

Let strength relax
for a moment
in order to be supple,
held.
Move beyond
each stuck point,
falling in love
with this new view.
